Sake Wares

Japan’s dedication to the craft of pottery has been an inspiration for many contemporary potters. I enjoy throwing sake guinomi, bottles and mamezara. I also sometimes throw senchawan (tea cups). Generally my guinomi and senchawan are thrown from the hump and improvised. I enjoy decorating these forms differently from my standard wares and they are often a source of creativity where I can try out new shapes.
